Flashing & the Big Shot!

I just have to say I had an absolute blast yesterday. I worked in my son's classroom in the morning, then headed out to Stayton, Oregon to visit a dear friend Angie, who is also a Stampin' Up Demonstrator. She had a great idea she got from Stampin' Up regionals in Texas. Use roof flashing and your Big Shot to create gifts for Mother's Day! So basically I got to play all day with my dear friends! She has a beautiful home too!

This could be a garden stick outside or you could put them in a pot of flowers to give to a Mom or someone else! I think it was so cool to use them with the embossing folders.

Here is a piece of flashing that was colored purple, then I used the Beautiful Butterflies Die and embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. If you keep them inside, you can use glue dots, if they are outside I would use a more permanent glue like crystal effects or tombow.

You can also use our Decor Elements on them and make them more personal. In the background is my dear friend Celeste, hopefully she does not catch me posting her picture on my blog :)

We used the Ovals Die and them embossed with the Designer Frames!

Here is her beautiful home and the wonderful view she had!

If I get enough feedback from you ladies, then I will offer this as a class in May or you could gather your friends and schedule a private class and we could make these! It is great to see everyone's wonderful ideas!

Happy Craftin!

I have seen a video of this technique before and went out to get my own roof flashing- I need to pull that flashing out and give it a try- it's not as difficult as it might look, so even people like me could duplicate it :).
The house is beautiful and what a gorgeous view!!!
